Shawn currently manages the Analytics program for Microsoft’s Digital Stores organization – which is chartered with helping marketers, category managers and engineering partners understand customer behavior across Microsoft’s websites, and stores on Windows and Xbox. He has over 20 years’ experience in analytics, and systems that leverage data. Shawn has worked for global brands like Visa International – where he ran analytics and global risk platforms – to purely online companies like Classmates.com where he was Vice President of Direct Marketing. He has also worked in a variety of startups over the years. Shawn started his career as a data analyst – back when big data was a 6 million row dataset representing a year of fraud on credit cards hosted inside an IBM mainframe. Now his team gets to play with datasets that accumulate over 12 million rows per second. Shawn has a degree in English and Creative Writing.
