Dennis Selfridge has been an Adobe AEM trainer since early 2012, coming on board just before the release of CQ 5.5. Prior to joining Adobe, he spent 13 years in the practice side of the tech field, progressing from Developer to PM/Scrum Master/IT Manager. It was 2009 when he left the corporate ladder to go back to Hands On/ Lead Development with the acceleration of JCR based Content Management. With a resume that includes Team Site, Documentum, Alfresco, Liferay and more, he not only promotes "How CQ/AEM" but "Why CQ/AEM". Technical instruction and mentoring have stoked a passion for inspiring clients to fully leverage AEM as a platform. His understanding of the Adobe Road Map and Vision also helps position the Web Teams he engages to take better advantage of Adobe's Edge Tools and Services.Prior to entering Technology (officially), Dennis enjoyed a 15-year career as a singer/songwriter, traveling across the US and in Europe. It was there he polished his chops and learned the value of "working smart" as an indie artist. He also holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from way back in the 80's and still resides quite close to where he grew up, in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA with wife Wendy and their three children. When not on the road for Adobe, he manages to squeeze in an occasional music gig and enjoys visiting new places with the family whenever possible. You can also find a growing catalog from his previous life on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon MP3, Google Play and more.
