Josh Leibowitz serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Carnival Corporation, a global cruise company and one of the largest vacation companies in the world; in addition Josh serves as Senior Vice President of Cunard NA, a global cruise brand with over 176 years of operating experience. Carnival Corporation’s portfolio includes leading cruise brands Princess Cruises, AIDA, Holland America, Carnival Cruise Lines, Seabourn, Costa Cruises, P&O Cruises and Cunard. Prior to joining Carnival, Josh was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where was a leader in the big data, e-commerce, and multichannel operations practice for North America. Before McKinsey, he held multiple operating roles. Josh was a Managing Director at idealab!, an innovation incubator that creates and operates pioneering technology companies, where he successfully led several e-commerce startups. Prior to that, he started and operated a wholesale and retail shoe business in Los Angeles.Josh writes a blog focused on vacation / leisure time. The idea is too many people do not use up all of their vacation time. The quick rule of thumb is people should spend about 8% of their time and total salary a year on vacation. According to Josh, that doesn't seem like too much of an ask.
